Arts Education Archive Malaysia

The online archive hosts articles about arts education programmes and projects conducted outside of formal education by specific individuals and organisations in Malaysia. Its current collection features work by Five Arts Centre and Arts-ED but AEAM hopes to grow by receiving submissions from other arts practitioners or organisation as well.

The site is organised in a manner that allows the user to examine the bigger picture and the detailed aspects of non-formal education in Malaysia. Case examples are presented through interpretative articles that track the beginnings of programmes and projects, the people involved, the art processes used and the output generated. Case examples are also placed within a meta timeline, providing a broader view on the influential factors impacting non-formal arts education within Malaysia’s socio-cultural and political context.
