About Campaign
This is a campaign organized by five youthful Sitaara members along with Arts-ED. Sitaara indicates the shine of Maang Tikka, a piece of Indian gold jewellery that's known to be worn on the bride's forehead. The five members of Sitaara have gone through the research learning the cultural content of maang tikka in the aspects of festivals and visual symbolism. From knowing nothing to gaining something is what we aim for our audiences. Sitaara campaign is to educate Malaysians about Indian traditional jewellery, specifically Maang Tikka. We're sure to spread awareness of the cultural significance of Indian gold jewellery to everyone. Together we learn and appreciate the mesmerising design of maang tikka.
