Join us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theHIPproject The HIP project is a social media campaign that aims to incite interest and interaction especially among youth (16-35) with the heritage site of George Town, Penang, Malaysia.

The HiP (Heritage In Penang) Project, was a 3-month social media campaign aimed to spark interest in youths to take a a closer look at in cultural assets of the George Town Heritage Site. Using visual arts and social media as the platform, youth were exposed to visually appealing interactive and creative bite-sized heritage information. They were invited to participate with iconic aspects of the heritage site and win attractive prizes.

The project also involved on- ground events to nurture the knowledge of youth. The HIP Project received an overwhelming response of 2000 likes in a period of 3 months reaching the targeted demographic profile. The HiP project Facebook is an on-going platform for youth to access and engage on Heritage in Penang.
